San Diego has a number of mines that hold a vast varieties of gemstones. One of those lovely gemstones is known as lepidolite. It’s known for its sparkly lavender/purple color which comes from the mica it’s found it.
I went treasure hunting in one of these mines and came across this gorgeous little gem rough. Once I shaped and shined it up, it was ready to set!
The sterling silver has been textured and darkened by hand which I think brings out the silver sparkles in the stone. The chain of darkened sterling and closes with a spring ring clasp.
This pendant will look amazing worn alone or layered.
