I have to say it is very hard to capture moonstone's beautiful rainbows with a camera. This gorgeous stone features beautiful flashes of colors and has been carved to show a lotus flower.
The lotus is an ancient flower and is very symbolic. It often is said to represent purity of the heart and mind. One of the reasons I am drawn to the lotus blossom is because even though it grows in muddy waters, it rises above those waters in order to bloom with its extraordinary colors, which is such a great metaphor for when life gets you down.
The moonstone is surrounded by a brass bezel and sterling silver back. The bail has a feather attached that shows on the backside of the pendant. The necklace is faceted lapis beads with little vermeil flowers spacers stationed along the piece. The clasp is also vermeil and is a large hook and eye closure for easy on and off.

*Please note the brass around the moonstone will tarnish over time. If you like the way it looks, great! However, it can be brought back to its former glory with a fine grit sandpaper.*
