Fleur-de-lis Necklace

French for 'Lily Flower', the fleur-de-Lis symbol has been used for centuries in things such as heraldry, religious icons and even sports teams. Whether you are from New Orleans or just like this symbol, this necklace is perfect for you or your loved one.

This unique wax stamp has been brought to life in the form of a wearable pure silver charm. The medium I use is known as Metal Clay and it consists of recycled silver from photo negatives in an organic binder. Once stamped, it is fired in a kiln where the binder burns away and the piece that remains is .999 pure silver.  I then oxidize (darken) it in order to bring out the texture. 

This lovely little charm is roughly the size of a dime.
