Family Crest Necklace

This is a new piece made from a 19th century family armorial wax seal. The scene depicts a crest with two animals on either side topped off with crowns and trees. It's quite lovely.

This unique antique family crest wax stamp has been brought to life in the form of a wearable pure silver charm. The medium I use is known as Metal Clay and it consists of recycled silver from photo negatives in an organic binder. Once stamped, it is fired in a kiln where the binder burns away and the piece that remains is .999 pure silver.  I then oxidize (darken) it in order to bring out the texture.

The item pictured is not the exact piece you will receive as I make these to order. Since they are special orders made especially for you, they will take roughly a week to ship.
