Desert Gem Variscite Necklace

Father daughter team strikes again! My father cabbed this gorgeous variscite stone and I created the setting. This lovely gem ids known as Desert Gem Varscite and this is the first one I had ever seen. Varascite is often mistaken for turquoise, but tends to be more green in color. It was once known as Utahlite because one of the primary locations this gem is found is in Utah. In fact, that's where this beauty comes from.

The modified triangle shape of this gem is complimented with a 3/4 bezel (top is open) crafted from 14kt yellow gold. The rest of the pendent is set in sterling silver and the chain is gold filled (a very heavy plate).

Gorgeous piece for layering or standing on it's own, this unique gemstone is sure to be a standout piece.
