Carved Moonstone and Pink Tourmaline Necklace

I am really loving these carved gemstones, they just give the pieces so much character.

This necklace has probably one of the biggest pendants I’ve ever made. It features a large carved rainbow moonstone that resembles a flower. It’s set in sterling silver and has a sweet little pink rose cut tourmaline on the bottom that really brings out the pink tones in the moonstone. The bail is crafted from sterling silver beaded wire and the whole piece hangs from a sterling silver chain with a spring ring clasp.

Moonstone is named as such because it was believed they held actual captured moonlight. They are known for calming fear & worry and were said to help a person foretell future events. It’s the birthstone for June.

Tourmalines are good gems for creative types as they are said to help with inspiration and intuition. Tourmaline (pink specifically) is the birthstone for October.
