These gorgeous turquoise earrings were pins in a former life. I bought 3 lovely turquoise pins that came in a satin lined box with the name Mandel Brothers, Jewelers/Goldsmiths. They were a company that sold jewelry in downtown Chicago from 1855 to the 1970's when they closed. If I had to guess, I would say these pieces were from around the 1920's.
These stunners feature beautiful blue turquoise cabochons with brown matrix surrounded by gold tone metal embossed with a geometric pattern. I got rid of the pinbacks and transformed them into earrings. I added modern gold-filled chain and connected them to bezel set CZs in gold filled posts with butterfly backs.
Just the right combination of classic and unique!
Earrings measure 1 7/8" long by 1/2" wide
*Please note that one of the earrings has a piece of turquoise with a tiny divot; it does not take away from the beauty of the piece*
